They said the bad time was forever,
As if the universe had no end.
But I heard the times were changing,
And the earth was sinking in.
They said I’d never feel the sun,
As if the sun weren’t drawing near.
But I felt the light change,
And the darkness disappear.
They said I’d never be normal,
As if normal was something real.
But I heard the storm was absurdly beautiful,
And beauty I could feel.
They said there was no such thing as miracles,
As if the earth just up and appeared;
But I heard we were formed of the dust,
And his reflection we mirrored.
